These crispy tuile cookies are very appealing to the eyes
I used a leaf stencil to create leaf-shaped tuiles. Even though the cookies taste good, I still prefer the butter cookies recipe to this recipe.
Ateco also recommends a recipe for chocolate cookies made with the water leaf stencil. I will try that recipe to make tuiles next time
* 1/4 cup softened butter
* 1/4 cup sifted confectioner’s sugar
* 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
* 2 large egg whites
* 1/4 cup all purpose flour
* 1 1/2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder (to vein the leaves)
I’m not really satisfied with this recipe. The recipe for butter cookies guarantees more buttery taste cookies than this one.
